Kiran Sumera
Solicitor, Family Law

Kiran, a dedicated solicitor who qualified in 2018, has since focused her practice on family and private client law. Her primary goal is to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. She handles a wide range of sensitive and complex matters, including domestic abuse cases, children disputes, special guardianship orders, child abduction, change of name deeds, wills, and care proceedings.
Kiran has a strong advocacy background with a particular focus on cases involving domestic abuse. Her expertise was demonstrated in a landmark coercive control case where she successfully obtained a non-molestation order for the victim. The case proceeded to criminal prosecution, resulting in the respondent receiving a custodial sentence — the first of its kind under coercive control legislation.
She is deeply committed to providing compassionate yet robust representation, working closely with her clients to achieve the best possible outcomes. She is skilled at managing complex and sensitive cases, ensuring clients receive clear, practical advice tailored to their circumstances.
Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates and cooking. Kiran is passionate about connecting with clients across social media and building a community where people feel supported throughout their legal journey.
