In such proceedings, Gugan has extensive knowledge of working with experts such as CAFCASS, psychologists, psychiatrists and family therapists.
- Domestic Abuse – Gugan has represented many victims of domestic abuse and gained protection from the courts by obtaining non-molestation and occupation orders. Gugan works closely with several domestic abuse charities whose users confide in her to seek sanctuary from their abusers.
- Public Law – Gugan represents parents at PLO meetings and within public law proceedings where social services have applied to remove children from their parent's care. Gugan represents parents whose children have been involved in domestically abusive households, sexual abuse, neglect and physical harm.
