Data that we collect and our use of it

We may collect various information from you when you use the Sites. This may include some or all of the following: your title, name, user name, gender, organisation that you represent, email address, postal address, telephone number, whether you are a client, password and the areas of our services that you are interested in. We use that information in order to give you legal updates, newsletters or invitations to attend or participate in seminars or other events or activities that we are involved with providing, and information that may be specific to our relationship with you. We may also use that information to enable you to take part in interactive parts of the Sites, such as online discussions.

The Sites use cookies. Cookies are tiny text files which identify your computer to our server as a unique user when you visit certain pages on the Sites and they are stored by your Internet browser on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies can be used to recognise your Internet Protocol address, saving you time while you are on, or want to enter, the Sites. We use cookies for your convenience in using the Sites (for example to remember who you are when you want to amend your data without having to re-enter your username and password) and not for obtaining or using any other information about you (for example targeted advertising). Your browser can be set to not accept cookies, but this would restrict your use of the Sites. Please accept our assurance that our use of cookies does not contain any personal or private details and are free from viruses.

Any material changes to the way in which we use your data will be described in future versions of this Privacy Policy.  Each time you enter the Sites or upload material onto them, you agree that the Privacy Policy current at that time shall apply to all information which we hold about you.

By submitting data to us or using the Sites, you consent to our use of your data in the manner set out in this privacy policy.
